I was born and raised here in Utah County and I love the area. I’m naturally a problem solver that likes to make things work. That’s led me to do things like woodworking, virtual tours, and web design. It’s really satisfying to look back at the end of a day and say, “I did that!” or “I made that!“.
My dad once told me, “Don’t let your education get in the way of your learning“. Undertones aside, that saying is important to my web design skills. I got a degree at Utah Valley University in Digital Media with an emphasis in Internet Technologies, but don’t give them much credit; Google and YouTube did most of the teaching. I think they should be the ones giving out degrees.
Now that school is out of the way I have more time to learn the things I like. I’ve been using resources like Khan Academy to stay sharp. I still take heavy daily doses of “Google please help me!” so I can create the things my mind comes up with.
I started my own business in 2016 called Blue Grizzly Design. I design and build websites for businesses then maintain those websites. Included with that maintenance is my web traffic services. I drive customers to the site using organic and paid search methods. Each of my customers have loved it and seen an increase in business.
